Dual-Purpose Slow Feeder Bowl — Stainless Steel
slower eating = zero scarf-and-barf.
You know the sound — the rhythmic hurk-hurk-hurk when your cat eats too fast and half the meal comes back up 15 minutes later. That's regurgitation, not illness. The fix is a slower bowl.
Whispurr's 2-in-1 slow feeder uses a maze-ridged insert to extend mealtime from 30 seconds to 5-10 minutes. Flip the insert over for a regular bowl mode when you want. Non-slip base so it stays put during enthusiastic dining.

Slow down eating 5×.
Scientific maze ridges extend mealtime from a 30-second scarf to 5-10 minutes of paced eating. Prevents choking, vomiting, and bloating.
Cats have small stomachs and a horizontal esophagus. Eating too fast = air-gulping = throwing up on your rug. This design forces the pace down.

Two bowls in one.
Flip the insert to switch between Slow Feeder Mode and Regular Bowl Mode.
Some meals need pacing (kibble). Some don't (treats, wet food). One bowl covers both. No second product taking up counter space.

Stays put.
Enthusiastic eaters push bowls across the floor. Some tip them entirely. Whispurr has four rubberised non-slip feet that grip tile, wood, and rugs alike.
No more chasing the bowl into the corner. No more spilled kibble.

Zero hidden crevices.
Most slow feeders have fiddly maze ridges that trap food residue. Not this one — the bowl is completely detachable and fully washable. No hidden crevices, no lingering smells.
Rinse under warm water daily. Deep clean in the dishwasher weekly.

Frequently asked questions.
My cat is smart — will they figure out how to bypass the maze?
Some try. Most give up within the first 3-4 meals and adopt the slower pace. If yours is a chess master, flip to Regular Bowl Mode for wet food and keep Slow Mode for dry kibble (harder to bypass).
What kibble sizes work?
Any dry food from 3-10mm. Very small treat pieces (under 3mm) may slide through too easily; very large kibble (over 12mm) can get stuck.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes. Top rack only. Air-dry to avoid warping. Do not use the sanitize cycle — high heat can affect the non-slip feet.
Wet food or dry?
Both. Dry kibble in Slow Feeder Mode. Wet food in Regular Bowl Mode (easier to lick clean).
Multi-cat household?
One bowl per cat. Cats hate sharing food dishes — leads to speed-eating (which is what we're trying to fix). Ideally place them in different rooms.
How much does it actually slow down eating?
In our observation, cats who normally eat in 30–45 seconds take 5–10 minutes with the maze insert. That's the sweet spot: slow enough to prevent regurgitation, fast enough that food doesn't sit at room temperature too long.
Will my cat get frustrated?
The maze ridges are shallow enough that food is always reachable — they never have to fully dig. Cats learn the pattern in 1–2 meals and it becomes routine. If your cat is very food-anxious, start by using it every other meal.
Wet food or dry?
Designed for dry kibble. Wet food works but is harder to clean out of the maze ridges — expect more rinsing. If your cat is on wet food primarily, use the flat-bowl mode (lift the maze insert out).

Obsessed with this thing — and so is Biscuit
Madison K. — Austin, TX · with Biscuit
I was so overwhelmed picking bowls for my first kitten but this was the perfect choice. Biscuit used to scoot his bowl halfway across the kitchen before he even finished eating — zero sliding with this base. I love that the stainless steel bowls just lift out for cleaning, I toss them in the dishwasher every night. The pink colorway is genuinely adorable on my counter. Such a cute, modern little set. New cat moms, just get it.
Great for a multi-cat house — just know the bowls run small
Terrence M. — Portland, OR · with Ghost, Noodle, and the rest of the crew
I run four of these units now across my six cats and they work really well for serving wet and dry food side by side. The two different bowl sizes are perfect for that. My one honest gripe: a standard 3oz can of wet food barely fits in the smaller bowl — it surprised me the first time. I've adjusted portioning and it's fine, but buyers should know. The bases are heavy and stable which matters a lot when you have chaotic eaters like mine. Really efficient setup overall.
Perfect for my toothless old boy
Carol B. — Sarasota, FL · with Mr. Pickles
Mr. Pickles is 16, toothless, and on a strict soft-food routine with supplements mixed in. I needed something stable he couldn't knock over and easy enough for me to switch out and hand wash twice a day. This checks every box. The two bowl sizes let me do his food in one and water in the other without crowding his little face. It dosent take up much counter space either which I apprecitate in my small kitchen. Couldn't be happier.
