Will my cat use an enclosed box?
90% of cats prefer enclosed boxes for privacy. The other 10% (usually elderly or claustrophobic cats) prefer open. If yours has never used an enclosed box, remove the hood for a week to let them get used to the base, then reattach.
What size cat fits?
60cm × 40cm × 40cm accommodates cats up to 8kg. Maine Coons and other large breeds may want the biggest version — this is our standard size and fits ~95% of cats comfortably.
Does it eliminate all litter tracking?
Reduces by 87% in our tests. Some litter will always escape (physics). But you go from vacuuming daily to weekly.
How often to clean?
Scoop daily. Full litter change every 2 weeks. Deep clean the stainless base monthly with vinegar-water solution.
What litter works best?
Clumping clay or non-clumping wood pellets. Fine sand-textured litter tracks more; larger granules track less. Any brand works — this is a physical container, not a smart product.
Multi-cat household?
Vets recommend N+1 boxes for N cats (one extra). So 2 cats = 3 boxes. Cats are territorial about litter.
Will my cat use the top or side entry?
Cats decide based on personality. Confident cats use the top hatch (they like the vantage point). Shy or older cats prefer the front door. Having both means both cat types are accommodated in a multi-cat home.
How do I clean it?
Daily: scoop with included scoop (2 min). Weekly: lift the stainless base, empty, rinse with warm water + mild dish soap, dry, refill. The stainless steel base doesn't absorb odor like plastic — a rinse is enough.
Does the enclosed design trap odor?
Opposite — the dome traps odor inside the box (not your room). Cat goes in, uses it, comes out through the door, and the dome contains ambient smell until you scoop. If you use clumping litter with baking soda, odor is nearly non-existent room-side.
